About Dr Edwin Tan
Dr Edwin Tan graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008. He has an interest in skin and ocular pathology and was awarded several undergraduate research scholarships which lead to several publications. Following graduation, Edwin rotated through a broad range of specialties including general practice, obstetrics and gynaecology and plastic surgery. In 2013, Edwin moved to Brisbane and commenced training in anatomical pathology. He was awarded his FRCPA in 2018 and worked at the Townsville University Hospital reporting a broad range of pathology. He has spent time with Professor Richard Scolyer at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Melanoma Institute Australia. Edwin is an active speaker at the Australasian and Asia Pacific International Academy of Pathology conferences. He will be a convenor at the 2022 World Congress of International Academy of Pathology in Sydney. Edwin has joined IQ Pathology to subspecialise in dermatopathology in addition to developing an interest in soft tissue and lymphoproliferative pathology. He is currently studying for his Diploma in Dermatopathology.
