Your GP may need to remove or perform a biopsy on one or more skin lesions. Any tissue that’s removed should be examined by a specialist Histopathologist to confirm your doctor’s diagnosis and if necessary to confirm that the lesion has been adequately removed. Biopsies can also play an important role in the diagnosis of rashes.
