
Nick completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1996 and was awarded the AMA Memorial Prize in Medicine. He completed his pathology training at Princess Alexandra Hospital and QML Pathology in Brisbane, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2006. Nick received further mentoring in dermatopathology under the late Dr A. Bernard Ackerman at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology in New York, and worked for several years in close association with Dr David Weedon. He subsequently co-founded a private subspecialty pathology practice in Brisbane focussing on dermatopathology.
He has contributed to a variety of articles relating to dermatoses and skin tumours, presented at conferences and clinical meetings over many years, and has been involved in postgraduate teaching. A longstanding member of the Australasian Dermatopathology Society, Nick has extensive experience in dermatopathology, and an interest in digital imaging.
